Babe (helping hands)75 viewsBabe is an 8 year old blind girl. She was surrendered when her elderly person could no longer provide her care.
So sweet and mellow. She can do stairs once she knows where they are and will jump up and down on the bed and sofa. She moves with a grace in her stride as she maneuvers around and seldom runs into things. Babe is a Helping Hands pug and is being fostered by Davis Edwards. Davis says she is physically and mentally a very active dog, acts like a young dog and likes to go outside. She uses the doggy door and is willing to go out in the rain to do her business. Babe is a very smart dog, learns her way around quickly and adapts to change well. Babe is a superior pug, and the blindness is not much of a handicap. She is good with other dogs but would do best if she was in a one dog household, as the other dogs will sometime startle her, but she is not on edge because of it.
Babe is a Helping Hands pug.

Eve_12-28-08.jpg
Eve (helping hands)82 viewsThis is EVE.
Eve is a fawn female pug between the ages of 10 and 12.
Eve was abandoned after hours at the Humane Society so we know nothing of her history, officially coming into Pug Rescue on Christmas "EVE".
She is an elderly, extremely loveable girl with a few lumps and bumps that come with age, but appears to be in good health. She lets you know she is grateful for every bit of attention she can get.
Eve is a Helping Hands Pug, would do well in a quiet home with no stairs. Davis Edwards is fostering Eve and says she truly is a cuddler. She likes to sleep a lot, but is ready for hugs when you come into the room. She will use a doggy door. She may be a little hard of hearing, but that does not seem to bother her. Eve will be a wonderful companion as she really interacts with you one on one.

Jasper.jpg
Jasper (helping hands)83 viewsJasper is a 10 1/2 year old male. He is a very sweet, well adjusted dog. He was surrendered with Snorta and Googaly and enjoys being with the other dogs in his foster home. Jasper would be best to have a home with no stairs. Jasper is being fostered by Davis Edwards. Davis tells us Jasper is very loving and likes being in the same room as his people. He will find a good corner where he can see the room and sit to watch what is going on. Jasper uses the doggy door. He likes toys and nylabones. He will pick a favorite and carry it around with him. When the other dogs take his toy, he simply goes to find another. His attitude is don't get upset there are plenty of toys and food. Jasper loves going in the car and you can take him any where. When he is feeling in a particularly good mood he will sing.

Mugsy.jpg
Mugsy98 viewsMugsy has put on a few extra pounds by eating his meals along with the meals of the other animals of the house, followed by anything else that the humans could have possibly left behind! Very food-motivated so he will most likely be quite responsive to training. This guy needs a little guidance on diet and exercise, but he’s a real go-getter!

Adoption Fee: $250
Rosie4_1-5-09.jpg
Rosie (helping hands)111 viewsThis is ROSIE.
Rosie is a 9 year old fawn female pug.
Rosie is blind; missing one eye with the other rendered useless.
Rosie came to us when a good samaritan rescued her from a less than ideal environment.
It's hard to say what kind of life she has had in her years, what kind of care she received, what kind of bed she slept on or even if she had a meal everyday. Although she is without eyes, you will look at her and clearly see she is a quiet, loving soul who deserves these minimums and so much more. Rosie will do well in a reserved home without stairs. Davis Edwards is fostering Rosie and tells us she is very gentle, not afraid, has a good appetite, and really likes sleep in the bed and cuddling. She is a real heart warmer for sure.
